Jessica Simpson is dating with another NFL player

As ex-girlfriend of Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson seems to have a preference with football player, as she is dating with another NFL player recently, just months after she broke up with Romo. Her current boyfriend is Eric Johnson, a seventh-round draft pick from Yale in 2001.

Being picked by the San Francisco 49ers in 2001, Johnson played his last NFL season in New Orleans Saints jersey for the 2007 season. He has been out of the league for the past three seasons but did not ever announce retirement. According to reports, he divorced his wife earlier in the year and started the relationship with Simpson since May.

When Johnson caught a career-high 81 passes in 2004 season, he was considered to be an overachiever and no less great than Romo. Although he has been less famed since leaving football, he is still a good match for Simpson because the star singer also has faded quite a bit from the spotlight since ending his relationship with Romo.

Chargers rookie RB Mathews is ready for training camp

The San Diego Chargers rookie running back Ryan Mathews has been determined to impress team officials by performing as well as he could. He recently told reporters that he would take part in the training camp in time on July 15, when all rookies is required to report for the camp.

“My main thing is to get into camp as soon as possible,” Mathews said. “I’ve talked to my agent; I need to be there. Too many guys hold out for all the wrong reasons and I’m not going to be one of them.”

The first-round draft pick from Fresno State is expected to improve the team’s offensive line. But Mathews sounds a bit more outspoken than other rookies, as no one would expect a rookie to skip training camp, it’s really no necessary for him to pledge to take care of his own business in time. It’s not a good way to attract attention at all unless he announced that he would put on a Michael Irvin jersey to appear for the Chargers’ camp to show his support for another team.

Tackle Ugoh and guard Pollak may compete for starting job

Since the Indianapolis Colts released longtime starting offensive left guard Ryan Lilja, tackle Tony Ugoh and guard Mike Pollak have been feeling that they were facing a second chance to return to starting lineup. With the training camp less than one month away, both players are preparing for a possible competition for the starting role.

Ugoh and Pollak have several similarities with each other. Both were former second-round picks: Ugoh was drafted in 2007 and Pollack was picked in 2008; and both were formerly starters at their own positions but lost the starting jobs last season due to low productivity. Ugoh lost the starting OLT job to Charlie Johnson and Pollak lost his starting right guard job to Kyle DeVan after they lost favor with former offensive line coach Howard Mudd.

But they could also face threatens from someone outside the team. Free agent Andy Alleman, who recently decided not to wear back the Vikings jersey for 2010 season, was invited to visit the Colts and try a chance for a new job. With experience of stating two games at right guard and one game at left guard, Alleman is no better than either Ugoh or Pollak, but is no worse, either. So he is having an equal chance in the competition.

How to grow your rose into seven colors

According to reports, there are now rainbow roses available on market. Such roses are more attractive than most other types because they in colors of rainbow, that is to say, the petals of the roses are in seven different colors. While you may wonder how to get such amazing creatures, here I offer you an idea on how to grow rainbow roses, but I’m not sure whether you may succeed as it seems to require certain high-tech.

The description sounds simple. The principle is that petals get their nourishment through stem, so the idea is to split the stem into seven channels and each channel is inserted into a different colored water. So when the stem channels take the water to the petals, they also take the colors to the petals. The same method can be also applied to other flowers, if you dislike a rainbow-colored rose. Some companies are also considering to apply the method to cotton so that rain-bow colored fabrics can be produced. Just wonder you are wearing a rainbow-colored Brett Favre jersey to appear for a Minnesota Vikings game, you will be the single eye-catcher at present even the quarterback himself will ask you for the method to get such a uniform.

Forget the joke, and I do not actually support the idea of coloring plants in this way. The nature has everything get its own color and why should we change them? Rainbow rose is strange to me. A rose should be red, and leafs should be green, and the earth should be land and sea.

Chargers WR Jackson is likely to be traded

The San Diego Chargers will not hesitate to trade unhappy wide receiver Vincent Jackson if he really carries out his plan to skip the whole 2010 NFL regular season in dissatisfaction with not receiving a long-term contract. Or, the team may start trade talks even before the player carries out the plan.

According to reports, the Chargers have been reached by several teams with interests in Jackson. The buyers unsurprisingly include the Seattle Seahawks and surprisingly also include the Minnesota Vikings. Remaining a restricted free agent, Jackson does not seem to like the idea of playing football in Vikings jersey with a group of big-name receivers. He is in hope for a considerable long-term deal matching his starting role, not a backup role in an elite team. By comparison, the Seahawks have always been looking for qualified starting receiver. They previously contacted Brandon Marshall for possible cooperation but Marshall finally was traded to the Miami Dolphins. Now for the second chance to get a great wide receiver, the Seahawks could make a bigger offer to allure Jackson and so they are likely to give Jackson what he wants.

The Chargers will still have a big group of wide receivers even after Jackson is traded away. Whether the remaining receivers are as great as Jackson, their obedience will at least make it easier to run the team.

Steelers RT Colon may end his season with injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers right tackle Willie Colon unfortunately injured his right Achilles’ tendon during Monday’s workouts and it remains unsure how serious the injury is. If the tendon is torn, he may have to end his season even before it really begins.

According to Director of football operations Kevin Colbert, Colon’s leg is still under evaluation by the team’s medical staff. And Colon’s recent appearance was at the team’s practice building and he was walking on crutches while wearing a Terry Bradshaw jersey. He was not available to make comment on his playing status and the team’s coaching staff all said that further evaluation is needed to make a decision. Perhaps they wear fearing that the team may fall into disorder if they have to change game plans because of Colon’s absence.

With only Max Starks and Colon being the two starting tackles, the Steelers are currently having few choices in replacing starters. But as long as there is no confirmation on how serious Colon’s injury is, there is still hope for the Steelers to carry out their original plan.
