Former agent of Randy Moss pleaded guilty in loan case

The New England Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss was wise to drop his agent Dante DiTrapano in 2006. On Thursday, DiTrapano pleaded guilty to a federal charge of providing a false statement to a bank.

According to federal prosecutor, DiTrapano forged someone else’s signature on the loan papers after he falsely told United Bank that he and the other individual would be jointly liable for a $500,000 loan. Then he used $40,000 of the $500,000 loan for purposes that was not stated on the papers.

DiTrapano will be sentenced on Jan. 14 in U.S. District Court in Beckley. The sentence will be 30 years of imprisonment and a $1 million of fine.
