New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grantand tight end Jeremy Shockey recently asked a federal judge to allow them to join a lawsuit seeking forced bankruptcy against Louisiana Film Studios LLC. The two Saints claimed that the studio owed them $510,000, $425,000 to Grant and $85,000 to Shockey. The claim was made at the center of an investment dispute involving current and players who used to wear saints jersey.
The studio CEO Wayne Read was accused of selling $1.9 million in state movie tax credits to 27 people, many with connections to the Saints, but he never applied for the credits or returned the money. Read said earlier this year that he will pay the money back once he finds other investors or obtains credits from a broker.
