Seahawks expect QB Hasselbeck to play Sunday against Jaguars

On this Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks will play against the Jacksonville Jaguars, very likely with their starting quarterback Matt Hasselbeck wearing back his seahawks jersey.

The three-time Pro Bowl passer was hurt on a dive for the goal line on Sept. 20 at San Francisco. He has not practiced or played since the injury, but according to Seahawks Coach Jim Mora, Hasselbeck moved around some before he missed his 11th game in two seasons Sunday at Indianapolis and was able to breathe deeply without as much pain as before. So it is hopeful that the quarterback could test his broken rib when his 1-3 team returns to practice on Wednesday.

During the game against the Colts, the Seahawks lost another player-third starting offensive linemen Robs Sims, who sprained his ankle. Sims is expected to miss at least two games, including this Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.
