Woman testified in Broncos WR Marshall's battery case

On Thursday, Rasheedah Watley, ex-girlfriend of Denvor Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall, testified in a battery case that Marshall committed domestic violence to her.

Marshall was on trial Thursday for he was charged of misdemeanor battery after a dispute with Watley at the Atlanta condominium they shared in the March of 2008. Watley told a jury of four women and two men that Marshall shoved her into furniture, carried her over his shoulder and threw her on the bed more than once and hit her in the lip. A police officer also testified that he came upon Marshall outside the condo with a bloody hand and Watley was inside with a bloody lip. Watley said Marshall did that to her just because she received a text message from a male friend.

It was not the first time Marshall was involved into a lawsuit. In March 2007, he was arrested after Watley said he used his vehicle to block her taxi. In October 2007, he was arrested for DUI. And in last September, he pleaded guilty to driving while ability-impaired and was sentenced to a year of probation.
