A hamstring injury did not only limit the Cleveland Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson in the team’s Wednesday workout, but also made him be kept out of Thursday’s practice session. And it seemed that the linebacker would probably be ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Jackson has been leading the Browns in tackles. He had 14 tackles in last weekend’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. And last season he also led the NFL with 188 stops. If he is to be out for this Sunday’s game, the team may give some playing time to Eric Braton and rookies David Veikune and Kuluka Maiava. The two rookies have not had a tackle this season.
Along with Jackson, kicker Phil Dawson also missed Thursday practice with ankle injury after missing the Browns past two games. Running back Jamal Lewis was having limited participation with hamstring injury after being inactive for the last two weeks.
